Sharing....

I plan to give something this Christmas. Last weekends I told myself to bring back all the blessings I receive this year. I decided to give something, a gift to my friends, officemates and relatives. Last Monday I went to Divisoria and buy some items. It was late afternoon when I get there. Traffic as usual and all places are crowded. It was almost 8 PM when I got back home. The same night I wrapped some items and sleep around 12AM. That night I should be attending a meeting at work but I decided to stay home, wrapped the gifts and rest.

It is very nice to receive but I feel more happy when I am able to make people smile, happy and appreciate the good things Ive done.

Sharing is not easy at start, especially when you know you do not have something to share and the fact that you need it the most.

I know, I expect something to people, I expect for them to become more closer to me. To reach them, not physically, but to reach their heart and make their life happy for few moments.

Sharing is a cool thing to do. It is one thing that we should suppose to do. In our life in this world, we share all the time. We share our time, our talent, our blessings, and everything on us we share to people we love. But it would be best if we also share these things to people we don't know.

Last year, I went round to our barangay and gave little goods to people living in the sidewalks. I am very happy that day, I feel like Santa Claus, I feel like I am flying while walking around, searching and lookng for people to whom I can give my gift. The year efore that, I gave some grocery items to our church for I know they have program wherein they are giving these grocery items to less fortunate families in our barangay. I remember that my family is one those families who were given this grocery items.

Now this Chistmas, I have to continue what I've started. I decided to cook pancit, bread and some candies for the Kids. I know it is not expensive but I believe that God is looking whats in our heart. Please pray for me for I have to deliver this goodness next week during my rest day. I know I can do it...

I am not posting this to let people think that I am a good person or a sait. I just want people to know that it is pleasing to our God when His people is following his commandments. To Love God and people.

Where are you this Christmas?

Most people will answer they are with their family. With their special someone. Me, I am in the office. Spending Chritmas eve with my officemates. Do ou feel sad about me? I think so. Me too, I am sad. I feel like I do not belong to anyone. I want to be alone this Christmas and even on New Year.

I know exactly the main reason why we have to celebrate Christmas. But as human we could never ignore the fact that we want to spend these special occassions with people we love. We want people to recognize, to remember, to care for us.

We want to be alone all the time, but the truth is that we want us to be found.

It hurts but it is true....

Merry Christmas- 2008

Hello everyone,

Have a Merry Christmas to Everyone... A few hours left and its Christmas.

Everyone is happy. Everyone is excited to open their gifts, to receive a gift, to have their family united, to eat together on Christmas eve, to be with their special someone. Love is in the air. Goodness and kindness you can find to anywhere you go.

Some people are so noisy, some are in silent. Some are praying, some are making fun. Anything you wanted to do in this special holiday of the year, we should never forget the main reason of this day. We celebrate this special day because our God, our Lord, our Saviour Jesus Christ was born.

Let us all give a moment of our time this day to give thanks, praise and greet our Lord a very Happy Birthday.

Godbless us All.

The Simbang Gabi

Last Tuesday, December 16, 2008 I attended the morning mass although we called it Simbang Gabi here in the Phillipines. I had the chance to attend the mass because my work shift started in the afternoon that day. Many people as usual attended the mass during the first day of Simbang Gabi. Simbang Gabi is a a Filipino tradition, a novena mass that usually held everyday morning started December 16 until December 24. Filipino has a belief that if you completed the Simbang Gabi for 10 days, inclusing the mass in Christmas day, your wish will come true.

Never I had a chance to complete the mass. And now, although I am a Born Again Christian, I still attend the Simbang Gabi in Catholic church because I use to attend to it since I was young.

Not only it is not normal for me to attend a mass in the middle of the morning but it is also a challenge of your faith with God. Because you are doing not only yourself a favor but with all else to get Gods favor.

One thing I love during Simbang Gabi is the chance for me to eat bibingka, puto bingbong and Tupik and other kakanin. These are local Filipino's delicacies.

Next week, I can attend another Simbang Gabi. Yehey, I can eat Tupik again for the bibingka is not good.

For stress people, listen to Instrumental Music

For the past weeks, I become bored, feel tired and very stress at work. Though there are some idle moments I feel like I am restless and feel bored to do anything.

One time, I open my Youtube and search for instrumental Music. I found hits for Kenny G.

Kenneth Gorelick (born June 5, 1956), better known by his stage name Kenny G, is an American saxophonist. His fourth album, Duotones, brought him "breakthrough success" in 1986. Kenny's main instrument is the soprano saxophone, but he also on occasion plays alto and tenor saxophone and flute.

We have his cassette tape at home but we never play the tape anymore for a past years since nowadays we have dvd/mp3/mp4 player instead of a tape player.

So I started to open most of his music in Youtube. I love his music in Breathless album. Simple because that is the album contains in the tape we have.

I love the following tracks:
"By the Time This Night Is Over" (featuring Peabo Bryson)
"The Wedding Song"
"The Joy of Life"
"End of the Night"

Before, we play this tape before sleeping. While listening, it will make you feel relax and will enjoy listening to his music.

You may try to listen to his song and surely, you will like it too. Try my playlist above.

Simple sore throat may lead to infection

Last week, my throat was aching after eating many sweets last weekends. I enjoyed eating at least 5 leche flan, and other sweets during and after the House blessing / Birthday and at the same time Family reunion in my titas house inn Laguna.

Not only I ate a lot but I also did sung for we rented videoke. At night we had night swimming in their pool for about 2 hours. Hahahahhaha. Not very nice thing to do.

When I get back to work, my throt started to get irritated. I did not take any medicines except chewing strepcils. The next day, I feel like their is a phlegm... opppsss sorry.... now. So I take Solmux (Carbocisteine). But it did not help so I bought erythromycin (Pharex). But it also did not relieve the pain. I started to loose my voice this time when I remember the medicine prescribe by my doctor. It is also Erythromycine but it is brand- Abbot. Erythromycin Stearate Eruthrocin 500mg. After taking 1 capsule and resting a few hours I feel much better. I still take Solmux and after a day my voice came back. I don't know but this Abbot brand is very nice and very effective in this kind of sickness I have.

Sore Throat

Pharyngitis is an inflammation of the throat or pharynx. In most cases it is painful, and thus is often referred to as a sore throat. Inflammation of the tonsils (tonsillitis) and/or larynx (laryngitis) may occur simultaneously, which can make eating difficult or painful.

Most cases are caused by viral infections (40%-60%), with the remainder caused by bacterial infections, fungal infections, or irritants such as pollutants or chemical substances.

Treatment of viral causes are mainly symptomatic while bacterial or fungal causes may be amenable to antibiotics and antifungals respectively.

So my advise, do not take strepsils if you think the first one did not help. Just consult the doctor and take capsule or tablet drug. This strepsils did not help at all in my experience.

Manny have so many Money

This is actually a late post to congratulate our boxer hero Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao for winning over Oscar dela Hoya last December 6, 2008 at MGM Grand Hotel and Casino at Las Vegas Nevada, USA entitled "The Dream Match".

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao WON Total Knock Out (TKO) from Oscar "Golden Boy" de la Hoya in 8 rounds of their "Dream Match". Manny Pacquiao, 29 years old, and champion of four weight divisions, proved De la Hoya why he has been proclaimed by many as the best pound-for-pound fighter.

Manny Pacquiao versus Oscar de la Hoya Round per round events:

Round 1 - Manny's Strong Start
Manny Pacquiao gets off to a strong start against Oscar De La Hoya. Manny Pacquiao connected on his 1-2 combinations with his left tagging De La Hoya quite a few times. De La Hoya proved some signs of aggression late in the round but Pacquiao get along to dance his way out of trouble.

Round 2 - Manny Pacquiao is in Control
Manny Pacquiao stays in control even if Oscar De La Hoya is busier with his pet left jab. Pacquiao manages to sneak his left cross to tag de la Hoya quite a few times and his dazzling ring movement to counterbalance his opponent's six-inch reach advantage. Manny Pacquiao has won the first two rounds.

Round 3 - Fight slows down
The fight slows down. There's occasional vividness from Oscar De La Hoya. Manny Pacquiao counter with a left cross when Oscar tagged him with a couple of body shots. Pacquiao has been landing his left cross at will.

Round 4 - Manny made a Strong Finish
Oscar De La Hoya comes alive in the fourth round, but Pacquiao came up with a hurricane finish to steal the round. De La Hoya lands a solid right to Pacquiao’s face early in the round, his first big punch of the match. But the Golden Boy still cannot find a solution to the speed of Pacquiao’s left cross, allowing Pacquiao to tag him with shots to the face.

Round 5 - Pacquiao in Control
Manny Pacquiao proved he can engage Oscar De La Hoya in a phone-booth slugfest. Pacquiao connects on a solid left near the end of the round from close range. De La Hoya lands some shots to the body in the middle in the round that barely troubles Pacquiao.

Round 6 - De la Hoya Swelling
At the end of Round 6, there is some swelling on top of De La Hoya's left eye. Pacquiao's left cross is still working marvelous for him as De La Hoya has left himself open every time he let loose an attack.

Round 7 - Pacquiao Staggers De la Hoya
Manny Pacquiao shifts into high gear let loose a run of combinations which staggers De La Hoya, leaving the Golden Boy on the ropes for most of the round. However, De La Hoya was still able to stay on his feet.

Round 8 - Pacquiao made a Strong Finish
Manny Pacquiao unleashes an outbreak that has De La Hoya on the ropes in the last 10 seconds. The punches from Oscar De La Hoya are still far and few in between. De La Hoya handled to sneak in a few punches but it lacks the throb. Pacquiao, in distinction, has been connecting at will.

Manny Pacquiao WON versus Oscar de la Hoya
Manny Pacquiao challenged the odds when he beaten Oscar De La Hoya in the welterweight duel at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. De La Hoya declined to come out of his corner after the eighth round, forcing referee Tony Weeks to declare Pacquiao the WINNER by TKO (Total Knock Out).

Congratulation, Manny. You have so manny money and you "pakyaw" al the glory... hehehehe.

The Pink Car...

Let me tell you a very intriguing story about this pink car. Remember me and my team with 24x7 went to Puerto Galera. During our trip going back to Manila we rented a van from Batangas Pier going to our office in Eastwood. On our way home, everybody is start to feel sleepy and maybe we get a little nap during our journey. I am seating on the second row at the back of the van. When we were somewhere, maybe near ESA Skyway (i really don't knwo the place) when cars are bumber to bumber. Suddenly look back and notice a pink car. I don't know what kind of car is that. I have little knowledge with cars for I have no car of my own. In the car were 4 girls around 17-20s. Two in the front and two at the back seat. They look cute but I could not see there faces that much. Everyone seems to be awake that time and since almost all of us are "barako" they become interested in looking with the girls when I told them about this. Now, suddenly my boss notice that the girl right next to the driver was gone. I counted the girls inside and they were three only. Our minds become puzzle and started to think of something... MMMMMM. what is going on here. Remember we were in the skyway and there is a trafic ahead. The reason, we are in the lane for the Toll station. Suddenly when our van move forward the pink car did not move. Now an officer from the toll who is also collecting fee is walking towards to their car and then suddenly the missing girl just appeared right next to the driver. At that moment I notice that her head is in the same direction of the driver. What are the things you can think of this situation? Is it a green thing or just an incident. Maybe the girl was picking up or looking of something in the car floor. She might lost her earings or something so it takes her some time to find it. Whatever the reason this things break the silence in our van. At least we had something to talk about while in the journey going back to our office. hahahhahahah.

Learn how to Swim.. overcome fear with water

One of the things that scares me is to be drowned because I don't know how to swim.

One of my friends at work invited me swimming in our condo in Eastwood Excelsior.

I know I can overcome my fear with water. So I know that I have to learn just in case.

From that day, I started practicing. And at this moment I believe that I am learning.

I learn by my own though it is slow. I started to overcome my fear and now at

least I can lower down my head under the water for a few seconds.

With this it helps me to relieve stress at work. It also good for my health and as a form of exercise.

So for those who really wants to learn how to swim, then my advise is to take a deep breath and control your fear. It takes a lot of confidence at start. Going in to the water is like going in to strong wind that makes you deaf. Peace and calm when you bond with water and never hear any but the beat of your heart.

But of corse the best way to learn it is to enroll yourself to a swimming lessons or have a swimming guru to teach you swimming in professional way. Do not go with my way. hahahahahha.

peace. =)

Team Building in Puerto Galera

Last November 15-16 our team went to Mindoro for our Team Building. We stayed in Talipanan Beach resort. This is my second time in Puerto Galera way back 2005, I can't remember the year anymore.

Saturday morning, around 2AM we travel Manila going to Batangas. We arrived almost 5AM in Batangas pier and waited for almost 2 hours before the big boat (Commandos) begin our island journey going to Mindoro. We travelled for almost 1 and half hour going to Talipanan beach resort. After checking-in to our rooms we started our activities. We test the water in Talipanan while waiting for our tour guide that same day. Around 10AM we started our island hopping. We first did the snorkeling- I can't remember the island or place but our toor guide took us to a place where we can view coral reefs and marine sanctuary. When we get there, we have our snorkeling equipments and life jackets and we paid 50 pesos so that a small boat will tour us around the place while we were holding the rope from it. Very nice although a few times some small shells or creature biten me that makes my skin itchy. After snorkeling, we went to another beach. Buy some pasalubong goods. Then we went to another island where we have eaten our late lunch. We were lucky because our tour guide cook our barbecue for our lunch. After our lunch, we went straight to White beach and did the banana boat. This is my first time riding with the banana boat. I thought I will going to be drowned for I don't know how to swim. Three times we fell from the boat which is the most exciting and challenging part. I enjoyed it very much although I really doesn't like when I swallow the salty water. My throat becomes so irritated with the saltyness of the water. After this banana boat we stayed for a few hours in White Beach. I decided to learn how to swim and I did succeed coz for the first time I was able to float. yehey... Remember that bouyancy in the ocean is high than in the ordinary swimming pool. So it is easy to float. All you need is to overcome your fear.

One of the most unexpected events that day was when we went back to Talipanan beach by land because the skies was dark already when we finish our activities in White beach. We do not know that they are not using their bangka at night. Imagine we walk along the seashore from White beach to Talipanan. How many kilometers is that? I believe we spent almost an hour walking along the seashore. The challenge is that we do not have any lights except the few stars, moon and the lights from our cellphones.

After arriving to Talipanan resort we rest a while and eat our dinner. That night we still have time to do videoke and drink a little. I did not drink because I was taking medicine that time.

Around 10 PM when I get back to our room and sleep. The next day we supposedly have to do treking but we cancelled that because it was raining that morning and we are all tired for so many activities we did on the first day.

We then instead spent our morning sleeping, eating, little videoke and resting in the beach. Around 1PM we packed our baggage and ride to Commandos going back to Batangas port.

We arrived in the office aroud 6PM Sunday night.

Thoughts for today

I become addicted to Heroes. It is a tv series about extra ordinary people with differenct abilities. They are like super heroes which posses abilities like super natural power, healing power, one can fly, a time traveller, etc.

I still believe that there people who possess someone some of these abilities. Am though Ive grown up I still beleive that one day I can poesses an extra ability like an ability to fly. At least in my dreams I was able to experience how to fly, to release an energy ball and to move things.

Hahahhaahaha.

Let me share some good thoughts from Heroes.

We can loose the world
But we can never loose our heart
The world is depending on us
- Ando

I like this part when Hero and Ando was talking to each other.

I took the challenge

I never thought I could act in front of many people. Last friday was one of my most challenging day of my life. I did take the challenge. To act and dance in front of many audience. It is a live act by the way. I make crazy stuff like, dancing and singing. I can't believe that I can do such things. As of this writing, every once in a while I still reminise the time when I was acting and singing the song "I like to move it move it" from the movie Madagascar. People might not recognize me because my face was painted but the news spread easily and I cannot hide something especially in the office.

However, deep within I am so happy. Because my dream of performing in front of many people is a great success. Though our presentation did not win I am still happy because even in my simple way, I was able to make people smile, laugh, happy and able to portray the role that was given to me.

Being part of Trend Micro is very challenging. I did a lot of things which adds more value to me as a person. This company unleashes, allows me to bring out my hidden talent. And with this, I am very grateful to become part of this family.

Actually, it is our Lord whom I wanted to thank the most. He as always bless and provided me a lot of opportunites and abilities to become worthy person.

By the way, I did play the role of King Julien in the movie "Madagascar".

Things You Don't Know about me

Since this blog reveals something about me. It would be a hard time for me to create a blog that will let people know some top secret about me. Now lets begin with this simple secret of mine. Whenever I hear this particular song my eyes started to swolen and tears begun to run on my face. I love this song a lot "Minsan lang Kitang Iibigin". Never ask why, you should know it already. So never let me hear this song for I will definitely gonna be emotional.

Another thing about me, I really love music. My day will never end without you hearing me singing. People at home knows that I love to sing. Though I have problem with my vocal it is my greatest dream to sing in front of the crowd. I will definitly gonna prepare myself for that day so I am planning to take a voice lesson one day.

Does anyone knows that I can survive a week without going out our house. Yes, sure I did. I am home person or an introvert person. I love being alone and do things on my own. I don't know but I can do a lot of stuff even by staying home. I love lying on my bed, reading books, watching tv, dvd or by just listening to my mp3 player.

I am a health conscious person. I have an average built, average weight and a nice height. =) But I always look and conscious with the food I am eating. I eat any food except the dalagang bukid cause it makes me vomit but I make sure that I will not take much of fats and unhealthy food. I do not smoke and very very often taking an alcohol (once in a blue moon or in situation wherein I have no choice).

That's it for now.

More to come to reveal the true me....

MCTS- Another title gained

What is new about me. I pssed the Microsoft Windows Vista Configration. With this exam I was able to gain the title for Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist-MCTS (Windows Vista – Configuration). Last October 3, 2008 I did take the exam and got a very nice score. =)

I spent almost 3-4 weeks reviewing and I am very happy for the result. Though I have very little time in reviewing, simulation, reading PDF, tips from forums I am still lucky to passed this certification.

See this link for details: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcts/vistaconfig/default.mspx

Thanks for all my friends who prayed for me. God is really good. Thank you Lord.

“Self-awareness is the Key to Success”

1) The wisest phrase uttered: "I don't know."
Knowing the boundaries of what you can and can’t do is knowing who you are. Admitting to others there these boundaries are is a sign of this self-awareness, of humility, and of a willingness to listen and to learn. It takes courage to admit to others that you don’t know the answer – but it is that same courage that can fuel so many other wonderful things. The courage to let others show you the way. The
courage to be creative. The courage to take risks. The courage to fail and to get up and try again. If you know who you are and what you can do today, then you will also know what you have the potential to do tomorrow. Know what you don’t know.

2) The most admirable attitude: "Stay hungry."
Unpredictability. One thing holds true every day: that something we don’t know about in advance might happen to our customers. It is important to have a passion for helping others. When we put the extra effort, it matters.

3) The most innovative thinking: break your assumptions.
Our industry changes fast. To do the same underlying assumptions year after year is a dangerous place to be – those assumptions, however, good they were at one point in time can be the complete opposite down the road. Don’t stick to past principles and operating models, even if they were right before. Don’t keep doing things the same way over and over again if it isn’t relevant to our direction anymore. Keep questioning yourself. Am I doing this today because I have always done it that way? Am I making this decision because it has always worked well for me in the past? Does the result of my action further our direction? At the end of the day, we are all here to feel good to ourselves. And that means creating value – for everyone. To create unique value, you need to understand the reason why you are living in this world.

Ask the questions “Did I create value today? Are the things I’m about to do today aligned with our Gods vision and mission?” If not, don’t do it. If so, keep doing it.

Be willing to let go of what you’ve known or done in the past, and open yourself up to new ways of thinking, new assumptions, new challenges, and new possibilities.

The true spirit is to know who you are, to set aside your ego, to have the courage to be creative and the courage to fail. If your intentions are pure and your actions
aligned with our direction, you will quickly learn that if you fall, you will easily find compassion and a helping hand from others around you.

I will persist until I succeed

I reject the fact that you don't like me anymore
Or is that something only in my mind?
I know that I never been a special person from start
Am I pushing myself to you

I never ask if you like me as well
I just asked if I can be a close person to you
I thought it is a good start
But since then I feel that you do not want to see nor hear anything from me

I tried my best to get in touch with you
I always pray that I can receive a single reply from you
I told myself that you are just busy
But days go by and it seems that you totally rejected me

I do not want to give up
I always believe that one day I can hear response from you
I do not want to give up
I will persist until I succeed

Always Be My Baby by David Cook

We were as one babe
For a moment in time
And it seemed everlasting
That you would always be mine

Now you want to be free
So I'm letting you fly
Cause I know in my heart babe
Our love will never die
No!

You'll always be a part of me
I'm a part of you indefinitely
Girl don't you know you can't escape me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
And we'll linger on
Time can't erase a feeling this strong
No way you're never gonna shake me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby

I ain't gonna cry no
And I won't beg you to stay
If you're determined to leave girl
I will not stand in your way
But inevitably you'll be back again
Cause ya know in your heart babe
Our love will never end no

You'll always be a part of me
I'm part of you indefinitely
Girl don't you know you can't escape me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
And we'll linger on
Time can't erase a feeling this strong
No way you're never gonna shake me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby

I know that you'll be back girl
When your days and your nights get a little bit colder oooohhh
I know that, you'll be right back, babe
Ooooh! baby believe me it's only a matter of time

You'll always be a part of me
I'm part of you indefinitely
Girl don't you know you can't escape me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
And we'll linger on
Time can't erase a feeling this strong
No way you're never gonna shake me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my my baby....

You'll always be a part of me (you will always be)
I'm part of you indefinitely
Girl don't you know you can't escape me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
And we'll linger on (we will linger on....)
Time can't erase a feeling this strong
No way you're never gonna shake me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby

Always be my baby

I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever

Over the mountains and the sea,
Your river runs with love for me,
and I will open up my heart
and let the Healer set me free.
I'm happy to be in the truth,
and I will daily lift my hands:
for I will always sing of when
Your love came down. [Yeah!]

I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever. [Repeat]

Oh, I feel like dancing -
it's foolishness I know;
but, when the world has seen the light,
they will dance with joy,
like we're dancing now.

Decision making

I am very slow when it comes to decision making. I weigh things and situations so most of the time I become the last person. Though I cannot say that my decision is always right it is something I never regret because I decided to go for it. But the problem is the time I spent before finalizing my decision. I do not have all the time in life before making decision, I know that. That is my problem. There are situations that needs a quick decision.

Example, a friend of mine made me realize that if in point in time you relaize that you have a special feeling to someone you better have to tell it or else you will regret it for the rest of your life.

From my past experience, I had waited a lot of time waiting for someone, waiting for the right time and for the right place. Because of too much waiting, too much thinking and weighing things I lost my chance to show my true feelings.

So now, I decided to change. I have to do it. I have to be as open as possible. Just believe. If someone will get hurt-let it be. This will make me realize if I am doing the right thing or the bad thing. But then again, I cannot force everyone to be on my side. So, decide now or regret for the rest of your life. Try, there is no wrong in trying. Go go go.... This is my first step... Gud luck to me...

Quotes to Ponder

I started reading the book "The Greatest Salesman in the World" by Og Mandino and so far it is one of the gretatest book I ever read. Life lesson to keep, it says that "Failures will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough." Which I strongly agree. One time when I attended a Management training they ask for my tag line. The first thing that comes in my mind "I will survive no matter what happens to me- I will and will continue to survive". In short "I will survive".

For the past years, I overcome a lot of trials in life. Most of the times I fail in everything I do. I never get something without loosing a lot of energy and time. But it is worthy when I achieve something because of my patience and determination to win.

I know that if a person just believe in himself, have faith that everything will be ok, whatever situations you are right now, just keep on believing and doing what is right. For at the end you will win this battle. Just keep on standing still. God will never let us down because He never will.

Living alone

Lately I spent my entire week in the office and went home during weekends. I sleep in the condo provided by our company. I am now experiencing to live alone and be independent. To eat alone, eating fastfood, food in styro, etc. Staying late in the office, doing cases, watching movies, browsing online, chatting, going out with friends, swimming, reading books, studying and a lot more. Most of the time I spend my whole day in front of my computers.

Sometimes I miss my family so there are times I go home on my third or second day. All my siblings are working and one have family. My parents often times in the province so I choose to stay in the office. At least I have my freinds to cheer up on me.

For the past weeks, me and my friend swimming at night though I do not know how to swim. I have problem when it comes to water. I am afraid to get drowned, afraid because often times water goes inside my nose. I am shy naman na magpa turo. hehehehe. Ang laki kong duwag. But my real problem, I still have no guts to do it even if they are willing to teach me. Hehhehe. Thats all.

Hook with the Davids

Suddenly I become a fan of the two Davids of American Idol season 7. I was not able to watch all there performances because I was busy at work. Just wanna thank the power of the internet and youtube and I am able to watch there performances. When I first heard the voice of this young David Archuleta I know that he can be at the top though my support was with our Pinay contestant- Ramiel Malubay. When she was elliminated my vote goes to the young David. I know that David Cook have an edge because of his rock image and his karisma which will help him to win. When news came out that these two will compete for the finals still my vote goes to David Archuleta however if I am going to consider the experience, to sell the person, money as usual, they would definitely go with David Cook. So, as expected- David Cook won. No problem with me. Either of the two deserves to be the next American Idol. At this moment I am hook with these two artist for they are both talented, gifted and very good singers. Goodluck!

Second round for Home Building Program

I am so lucky to be once again be part of home building Prgram last July 30 - August 1, 2008 of gawad Kalinga in Batangas. We were total of 43 participants, 2 Filipino volunteers and the rest from Taiwan students and from Los Angeles US students.

Despite it was raining on our three days in Batangas we still continue to build houses. We play with the kids, we interact with the parents and enjoy every minute of our stay in the build.

"Smile" and "Never Give Up". These were the words from the son of our CEO- Victor Chang. These are very easy to do but very hard to do all the time during the build. Compare to the people we were helping, despite of their life conditions they keep on smiling and never give up with their life. So with with these, we should do the same during the build. I am so impress and very proud of beng part of his father's company for I know that I am on a very great company. My dream is to make this company listed on one of fortune 500 companies in the world. I believe it will be for the people handling with this company are very great.

I saw what kind of Manager we had in this company through Victor. He think fast, he were able to manage the people, motivates in times when we were tired in our work, reminding us to smile, very good with people relation, good speaker. Although we know he can have almos everything because of his life stutus, he doesn't care if his hands get dirt during the build. You can see that he love what he is doing. Great man!

Days past by so fast. I really want to stay and join them on the other build site but our schedule is up to Friday only. But I really enjpined my stay. I did everything I can do during the build. as local volunteer, I become the point of communication- translator for the locals and the foreign volunteers. I tried all the work. Mixing cement, gathering stomes, carrying cement, blocks, digging the soil, carrying soil, sand, gravel, paiting, playing with the kids, intracting to the benificiaries and to all the people on the build. I did those things because these are things I wanted to do and the reasons why I joined the program. It bring smile, makes me more as a fulfilled person. I bring happiness and people appreciate what I am doing. I really love the feeling and hoping I can join again.

My Experience with GK- script

My experience during 5-day homebuilding program with Gawad Kalinga is far more than what I initially imagined, and what i signed up for.

Before I submit my application, I took time to read the Home Building Program websie and from there I learned what I will expect with this program. On the schedule day to leave Manila to Batangas, I packed my bag with the expectation that we are going to build houses.

We carried rocks, prepared cement and interacted with the beneficiaries. But this did not surprise me for this is very common for what I attended when I was still in school. What really surprised me and perhaps what makes my experience more meaningful was witnessing Trenders from difference countries with difference cultures interacted, working together for a common good.

There were around 25 of us, Trenders from Japan, EMEA, APAC, and Philippines who signed up to build homes. We all accepted the challenge to work outside the office and to work with people we have not met. Yet during the build, we were able to work effectively. We did not ask anyone to do anything but we were able to work together. People volunteered and everyone was just but willing to do anything to see the GK houses ready to use.

After the trip, we volunteers exchanges emails and from there I found out that other Trenders who joined the program are directors or managers from other region. However during the program I did not feel that they were different or special. This made me appreciate the culture we have inside the office -- no matter where a Trender goes, a Trender will always carry a humble heart. And when called into action, a Trender regardless of his/her nationality or culture will always be willing to help and get things done.

EIGHT LIES OF A MOTHER

A wonderful story to really share.

EIGHT LIES OF A MOTHER

This story begins when I was a child: I was born poor. Often we hadn't enough to eat. Whenever we had some food, Mother often gave me her portion of rice. While she was transferring her rice into my bowl, she would say 'Eat this rice, son! I'm not hungry.'

This was Mother's First Lie.

As I grew, Mother gave up her spare time to fish in a river near our house; she hoped that from the fish she caught, she could give me a little bit more nutritious food for my growth. Once she had caught just two fish, she would make fish soup. While I was eating the soup, mother would sit beside me and eat the what was still left on the bone of the fish I had eaten, My heart was touched when I saw it. Once I gave the other fish to her on my chopstick but she immediately refused it and said, 'Eat this fish, son! I don't really like fish.'

This was Mother's Second Lie.

Then, in order to fund my education, Mother went to a Match Factory to bring home some used matchboxes which she filled with fresh matchsticks. This helped her get some money to cover our needs. One wintry night I awoke to find Mother filling the matchboxes by candlelight. So I said, 'Mother, go to sleep; it's late: you can continue working tomorrow morning.' Mother smiled and said 'Go to sleep, son! I'm not tired.'

This was Mother's Third Lie

When I had to sit my Final Examination, Mother accompanied me. After dawn, Mother waited for me for hours in the heat of the sun. When the bell rang, I ran to meet her.. Mother embraced me and poured me a glass of salabat (ginger) that she had prepared in a thermos. The ginger was not as strong as my Mother's love, Seeing Mother covered with perspiration, I at once gave her my glass and asked her to drink too. Mother said 'Drink, son! I'm not thirsty!'.

This was Mother's Fourth Lie.

After Father's death, Mother had to play the role of a single parent. She held on to her former job; she had to fund our needs alone. Our family's life was more complicated. We suffered from starvation. Seeing our family's condition worsening, my kind Uncle who lived near my house came to help us solve our problems big and small.

Our other neighbors saw that we were poverty stricken so they often advised my mother to marry again. But Mother refused to remarry saying 'I don't need love.'

This was Mother's Fifth Lie.

After I had finished my studies and gotten a job, it was time for my old Mother to retire but she carried on going to the market every morning just to sell a few vegetables. I kept sending her money but she was steadfast and even sent the money back to me. She said, 'I have enough money.'

That was Mother's Sixth Lie.

I continued my part-time studies for my Master's Degree. Funded by the American Corporation for which I worked, I succeeded in my studies. With a big jump in my salary, I decided to bring Mother to enjoy life in America but Mother didn't want to bother her son; she said to me 'I'm not used to to high living.'

That was Mother's Seventh Lie

In her dotage, Mother was attacked by cancer and had to be hospitalized. Now living far across the ocean, I went home to visit Mother who was bedridden after an operation. Mother tried to smile but I was heartbroken because she was so thin and feeble but Mother said, 'Don't cry, son! I'm not in pain.'

That was Mother's Eighth Lie.

Telling me this, her eighth lie,,, she died.

YES, MOTHER TELL A LIE .... BUT WAS AN ANGEL TO ME!

M - O - T - H - E - R

'M' is for the Million things she gave me, 'O' means Only that she's growing old, 'T' is for the Tears she shed to save me, 'H' is for her Heart of gold, 'E' is for her Eyes with love-light shining in them, 'R' means Right, and right she'll always be, Put them all together, they spell 'MOTHER' a word that means the world to me.

For those of you who are lucky to be still blessed with your Mom's presence on Earth, this story is beautiful. For those who aren't so blessed, this is even more beautiful.

P Please Save a Tree for the Next Generation.

Never take someone for granted

Dear All

Never take someone for granted

Hold every person close to your heart
because you might wake up one day and
realize that you've lost a diamond
while you were too busy collecting stones.

Stress Management

A lecturer when explaining stress management to an audience,
raised a glass of water and asked
"How heavy is this glass of water?"

Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter.
It depends on how long you try to hold it.

If I hold it for a minute, that's not aproblem.

If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.

If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an am bulance.

In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."

He continued,

"And that's the way it is with stress management.

If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later,

as the burden becomes increasinglyheavy,

we won't be able to carry on. "

"As with the glass of water,

you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again.

When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden."

"So,before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down .

Don't carry it home.

You can pick it up tomorrow.

Whatever burdens you're carrying now,

let them down for a moment if you can."

So, my friend, Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now.

Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while.

Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

* Accept that some days you're the pigeon,
and some days you're the statue.

* Always keep your words soft and sweet,
just in case you have to eat them.

* Always read stuff that will make you look good
if you die in the middle of it.

* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be
recalled by their maker.

* If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again,
it was probably worth it.

* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply be kind to others.

* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time,
becausethen you won't have a leg to stand on.

* Nobody cares if you can't dance well.< BR>Just get up and dance.

* Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.

* The second mouse gets the cheese.

* When everything's coming your way,
you're in the wrong lane.

* Birthdays are good for yo u.
The more you have, the longer you live.

* You may be only one person in the world,
but you may also be the world to one person.

* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

* We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today..I did.

When you found someone

I tried to keep you
But the world is taking you away
I tried to be with you
But the world is so unfair
They keep on making us apart

You are the answer to my prayer
You are whom I've waited for so long
You make my life complete
Your smile takes my breath away
Your my life

There is so much I want to tell you
Everytime we talk I am loosing stories
The truth is I have lots of things to tell you
But my mouth is not working
My mind becomes idle when we talk

All I want is to see you
All I want is to hug you and kiss you
All I want is to be with you
All I want is to live my life
To be with you for the rest of my life

Every single day
I can't help but to think of you
Whenever my mind becomes idle
Only your face I remember
The day you first hold my hand
The day my lips touches yours
The day when my body touches yours

I can't wait to do it again
I can't wait to be with you again
I can't help but to think of you all day
Coz your my life
You alone completes my life.

When unexpected things happens

When unexpected things happens we mostly ask ourselves or our God why. Everyone have dreams. We try to set plans and goals to achieve it but most of the time things happens and so we have to change. We set targets, we aim to make it happen but not all things goes as smoothly as it should be. Something will always happen so you have to change.

That is the reason why we need to have a backup plan. When bad things happened we still have a backup plan to make our dreams come into a reality.

But there are times that no matter how hard we tried to hold on our dreams, the world is pushing it away. That's why we give up. But I learned that "When you want something, and you really want it to happen, you are so decisive to make it happen, the world will conspire and will help you reaching your dream."

So reaching ones dream is not as easy to come true. It will be normal that there are failures along the way. But failures are something that makes our life colorful. That spice up our lives. Failures makes you a better person. It makes you stronger. Failure is an indicator that you are not doing the right thing. It is something that alerts you that something is missing.

In short, if something unexpected happens. Never ask why? It happens for a reason as they said. Always embrace the opportunities it will give you. Look on the brigther side. Always smile and go tp the flow of life. There are lots of mysteries about life. So the only thing you can do is to live for it. Live and continue to live. Life is short so live your life to the fullest.
